Wayne Rooney

We have been retained as Wayne Rooney’s media advisers from his teenage years to his current position as captain of England and Manchester United and all-time record goal scorer for each.

We continue to oversee all matters involving the promotion of his brand and the protection of his reputation as one of the UK’s greatest sporting icons, ambassador for the NSPCC.

Recently we have worked for the Wayne Rooney Foundation through which Wayne has pledged to raise £5 million for disadvantaged children in the UK. We handled global publicity around the launch of the Foundation and Wayne’s Manchester United testimonial match achieving high visibility print, broadcast and online coverage.

Wayne’s Testimonial match was the first football match ever to be streamed live on Facebook to its 1.7 billion global users. Under this unique partnership, fans were able to watch the game on Wayne’s and Manchester United’s official Facebook pages which have almost 100 million likes between them. The event trended at the number one spot worldwide for an around two hours.

Bauer Media appointed Monk PR to support with press and publicity for new national radio station, Hits Radio.

Hits Radio is the only national commercial radio station to be broadcast out of Manchester. Gethin Jones, Gemma Atkinson and Sarah Jane Crawford are among stars who have signed up to present the shows. We work with Bauer to ensure maximum awareness of the launch and shows.

Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve

We manage the press and influencer programme for luxury destination Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve.

Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve, based in Kent, is a short break destination described by a visitor as a ‘Soho Farmhouse meets the Serengeti experience’. It is home to over 700 rare and endangered animals including rhinos, cheetah, tigers, bears, gorillas and much more. The resort houses stunning accommodation across 600 acres of English countryside including treehouses and the tiger lodge which backs on to the tiger enclosure. Conservation is at the heart of what they do and all proceeds from the short breaks go directly back into their programme which breeds endangered animals in captivity and sends them back to the wild. Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve is owned by The Aspinall Foundation.

Alison Jackson

Alison Jackson is a British BAFTA and multi award-winning artist who explores the cult of celebrity culture as created by the media and publicity industries. Jackson makes works about celebrities doing things in private using lookalikes. We work with the globally renowned celebrity lookalike photographer Alison Jackson to promote her brand.

Our most recent campaign with Alison was to promote and drive sales for her latest book, Private: Alison Jackson which resulted in sell outs across her website and Amazon and a waiting list of two years.

Throughout the four month global campaign we advised on creatives, managed all social media channels, directed various photoshoots and placed content in every British national newspaper, four prominent American papers and 17 global online sites.

We managed and placed global press interviews and attendance to a motorcade stunt which saw Alison Jackson and her Donald Trump lookalike take to the streets of New York City in a mock presidential parade pre-election.

As part of the book launch we placed reviews and interviews in a number of on and offline sites. A memorable highlight was our negotiating, directing and creating a branded cover story with the Daily Telegraph’s coveted Stella Magazine which led to the biggest spike in sales the book ever achieved.

Our campaign saw Alison Jackson’s pictures going viral many times over, a rise in social media following and engagement, book sales rising and recognition of the artists name to the public.

The Aspinall Foundation

The Aspinall Foundation hired us on a retained basis to raise awareness and funds for their conservation work. As part of this we also manage the publicity for chairman, Damian Aspinall, and project manage all social media channels associated with the foundation and its senior staff.
We have led campaigns resulting in over 200 pieces of global coverage both on and offline around some of the foundations biggest conservation stories including the handling all media around repatriation of a group of three generations of gorillas back to their natural home in the wild.
We secured Damian Aspinall as THE authoritative go-to spokesman for all conservation stories with both the BBC and the Daily Mail.
We work closely with high level environment and conservation journalists across broadcast and print media to ensure news and updates from the foundation are proposed to the media for consideration.
Our recent campaign to celebrate the birth of an endangered black rhino saw us place the story in three major national newspapers. We also sent a BBC Breakfast team down to the safari park in Kent which resulted in the story running three times throughout the two hour program as the main feature on BBC Breakfast. To accompany this placement we ran a social media campaign on The Aspinall Foundation and BBC Breakfast platforms encouraging followers to help name the new baby rhino.
